Riona Returns!

OK, so I completely and utterly abandoned my wee blog last year, so I'm making it a promise to log in at least once a week and share some lovelys on it. I'm currently doing a project on robotics for DES311. I have decided to design a remotely controlled robotic arm for use primarily by the elderly and disabled. Below is some of the images and videos I have used for research and ideas. I'll also be including my early design sketches, final design sketches, early renders and whatever else I think might help document this project :)

Okay, so, our next brief for Mr.Lynch's class is to design and sculpt an accessory using typography. How fab! My little head is ticking over like a ticky thing thinking of all the wonderful stuff I could create!

The very first thing that sprang to my mind was Sex and the City, and the infamous gold "Carrie" necklace, which sparked a copycat craze world wide, (I've always wanted a "Riona" one myself, so anyone who wants to buy it for me, please feel free! Also, my very own Big wouldnt be sniffed at either!)
